DCH detector is designed for ongoing monitoring of methane concentration in the air by means of two independent components: pellistor gas detector for concentration range 0-5% CH4 and conductometric bridge for concentration range 5-100% CH4, switched over automatically. The sensor head may be installed on the casing or attached with a cable up to 30 m long. The air intake of the sensor head is secured with exchangeable filter.
The device is fitted out with two galvanically insulated digital outputs designed for automatic signaling of dangerous methane concentration in the air. Alarm concentration values may be pre-set by the system operator. The device is fitted out with a LED on top of the casing that signals reaching of the pre-set alarm concentration value. The whole system is enclosed in the solid water-proof casing.
